KSS NW LTD is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team based at our Bolton head office and to drive new business growth across the security and facilities management (FM) sectors. This is a key commercial role responsible for owning the full sales pipeline, completing tenders and bids, and developing new client relationships across commercial and retail environments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting KSS NW LTD’s continued growth and expanding our client portfolio.
Applicants must come from a security services and/or hard and soft FM background, with proven experience in business development and tendering.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development & Sales
- Own and manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract award
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the security and FM sectors
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams
- Attend client meetings, presentations, and industry events
- Tenders & Bids
- Lead the end-to-end tender and bid process, including PQQs, ITTs, RFQs, and DPS submissions
- Produce high-quality written submissions, pricing, and compliance documentation
- Work closely with operations and senior leadership to ensure bids are commercially and operationally sound
- Account Development
- Support the growth of existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling
- Identify contract extensions and retention opportunities
- Ensure a smooth handover from sales to operations at mobilisation stage
- Reporting & Performance
- Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline reporting
- Track performance against agreed targets and KPIs
- Provide regular forecasts and updates to senior management
- Proven experience in business development within security services and/or hard/soft FM
- Strong knowledge of tendering and public/private sector procurement
- Demonstrable track record of winning new business
- Strong commercial awareness, including pricing and margins
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience working with retail or multi-site commercial clients
- Background in security guarding, loss prevention, or integrated FM services
- Experience with frameworks, DPS, and local authority tenders
- Existing industry contacts
- Competitive basic salary of £30,000 – £35,000 OTE £40,000 – £60,000+, with uncapped commission
