The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the NHS as a GP Receptionist. As the first point of contact for patients, you will deliver exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks in a busy practice environment.
Working Hours:
- Option 1: Monday: 8:00am β 2:00pm, Thursday: 8:00am β 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break), Friday: 8:00am β 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break)
- Option 2: Monday: 8:00am β 2:00pm, Thursday: 8:00am β 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break), Friday: 1:00pm β 6:30pm
Key Responsibilities of the Receptionist:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner
- Manage incoming telephone calls with excellent phone etiquette and direct calls appropriately
- Book and manage appointments efficiently
- Perform accurate data entry to maintain up-to-date patient records
- Handle clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and photocopying
- Maintain a tidy, organised, and professional reception area
- Support the wider administrative team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
The ideal Receptionist will be:
