A highly regarded GP surgery, rated in the top 6% nationally, is seeking to recruit a part-time Receptionist to join their friendly and supportive team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the NHS as a GP Receptionist. As the first point of contact for patients, you will deliver exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks in a busy practice environment.

Working Hours:

  • Option 1: Monday: 8:00am – 2:00pm, Thursday: 8:00am – 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break), Friday: 8:00am – 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break)
  • Option 2: Monday: 8:00am – 2:00pm, Thursday: 8:00am – 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break), Friday: 1:00pm – 6:30pm

Key Responsibilities of the Receptionist:

  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner
  • Manage incoming telephone calls with excellent phone etiquette and direct calls appropriately
  • Book and manage appointments efficiently
  • Perform accurate data entry to maintain up-to-date patient records
  • Handle clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and photocopying
  • Maintain a tidy, organised, and professional reception area
  • Support the wider administrative team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

The ideal Receptionist will be:
