The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Duct Cleaner to join our operations team, carrying out the cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of ventilation and kitchen extract ductwork systems across a range of commercial sites in London and the surrounding areas. Due to the nature of the work, this role is predominantly night shift based to minimise disruption to our clients – with regular overtime on offer to maximise your earning potential.

Day-to-Day You’ll Be:

  • Cleaning and decontaminating extract and supply air ductwork systems to TR19 standards
  • Cleaning kitchen extract canopies, grease filters, fan blades, and associated components
  • Carrying out pre- and post-clean inspections with photographic evidence and written reports
  • Applying chemical treatments and sanitisers to ventilation systems where required
  • Re-sealing ductwork joints and access panels following cleaning works
  • Installing and replacing access panels to ensure future compliance and accessibility
  • Identifying and reporting any defects, damage, or compliance issues to the Operations Manager
  • Completing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) before commencing work
  • Working safely at height using ladders, access platforms, and scaffolding
  • Building great relationships with clients on site

Hours: 45 hours per week. Night shifts required (typically 10:00pm – 6:00am). Flexibility with days, early starts, late finishes, and weekend working is essential.

Overtime: Regular overtime available.

What You’ll Need

Essential:

  • TR19 / BESA / GHT ventilation hygiene certification
  • IPAF or PASMA certification (working at height)
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Proven experience in commercial ductwork or ventilation hygiene cleaning
  • Working knowledge of TR19 Grease duct cleaning standards
  • Experience completing inspection reports with photographic evidence
  • Ability and willingness to work night shifts and regular overtime
  • Competent use of rotary brush systems, high-powered vacuums, and compressed air tools
  • Knowledge of COSHH, Working at Height, and confined space procedures
  • Physically fit for manual handling, confined space, and height working
  • Great communication skills and a can-do attitude

Desirable:

  • Confined Space Entry qualification
  • CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification
  • First Aid at Work
  • Experience in kitchen extract cleaning within hospitality or catering environments
