We are delighted to be recruiting for a Sous Chef/Line Chef to join the kitchen team at a well-established and growing UK holiday hotel group based in Newquay. Working alongside the Head Chef, you will support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, preparing high-quality meals for up to 150 guests. You will play a key role in delivering consistently excellent food, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the development of junior team members. Shifts include mornings (from 7am) and evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The kitchen team finishes no later than 8:30pm, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and producing dishes as directed by the Head Chef
- Contributing to menu development and implementation
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- Assisting with training and supporting new team members
- Supporting stock control, replenishment and monthly stocktakes
- Maintaining legislative records including SFBB logs and labelling systems
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations
