Key Responsibilities and Duties:

The Role

As an Account Manager, you’ll play a key role developing new business and develop strong relationships with existing customers while securing new opportunities across key sectors. You’ll act as the point of contact for your accounts, working closely with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and an outstanding customer experience from initial enquiry through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Account Management
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities and repeat work
  • Promote KS Composites’ capabilities across target sectors
  • Monitor industry trends and identify new market opportunities
  • Achieve and exceed sales and growth targets
  • Act as the face of KS Composites for your customers

Commercial & Project Support

  • Prepare accurate costings, quotations, and project timelines
  • Manage contracts, NDAs, and scope of work documentation
  • Maintain ownership of project commercial performance (P&L awareness)
  • Ensure smooth and detailed handover to Project Management teams
  • Support operations and projects teams with contingency planning if required
  • Track and support project progress to ensure customer satisfaction

Process & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and enquiry logs
  • Respond to customer enquiries effectively
  • Update quotation trackers and sales forecasts
  • Attend weekly forecast and internal review meetings
  • Ensure compliance with KS processes and standards (SPS)

The Candidate

  • Eligibility to work in the UK, no sponsorship will be offered
  • Commercially driven with a strong focus on results
  • Excellent relationship builder and communicator
  • Confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, professional, and customer-focused
  • A collaborative team player who supports wider business success
  • Proven experience in account management and business development
  • Background in composites is essential
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience in quotations and contracts
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and drawings (GD&T beneficial)
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • CAD/DFM knowledge advantageous (role/customer dependent)
