- Work closely with Payment Operations and Finance to resolve exceptions, track ageing items, and ensure appropriate escalation for high risk or high value breaks.
- Support month end close by ensuring all reconciliations are complete, reconciling control accounts, and preparing evidence for Financial Control review.
- Maintain and improve reconciliation processes, templates, and controls, including standard operating procedures and review checklists.
- Support the development of automated reconciliation capability, including data mapping, exception reporting, and root cause analysis to reduce manual effort and risk.
- Use Excel and data tools to analyse transaction level data, identify patterns, and provide insight into recurring breaks and process weaknesses.
- Liaise with external banks, payment partners, and scheme providers to resolve discrepancies, obtain statements, and support query resolution.
- Ensure reconciliations and supporting documentation meet internal policy requirements and are audit ready at all times.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Finance and Operations to strengthen end‑to‑end cash controls and reduce operational risk.
