Responsibilities
- Collaborate with your squad to design and deliver safe, reliable and delightful payment experiences across all customerâfacing channels.
- Take ownership for the success of your payment products, managing the entire lifecycle from discovery, planning, build, goâtoâmarket, as well as closely monitoring products postâlaunch, consistently looking to improve their performance.
- Define and own your backlog, making tradeâoffs to deliver customer and business value on time and within agreed constraints.
- Be an exponent of continuous discovery in the payments domain, persistently seeking to validate ideas that improve the customer experience, operational efficiency and risk controls through insights and innovation.
- Transform big ideas, complex requirements and evolving regulation into wellâdefined product specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Make dataâinformed decisions and take hard calls when data is scarce, using insight, experimentation and sound judgement to move the product forward.
- Work with the wider Payments and Product teams to drive and challenge product strategy, ensuring our payment product suite benefits customers and the business and aligns with the overall bank strategy.
- Build and nurture relationships with key external partners and suppliers, including payment schemes, processors and technology vendors, to deliver both customer and business value.
- Ensure your products remain compliant with relevant payment regulations and scheme rules, operate smoothly with high availability and resilience, and adopt bestâinâclass industry trends.
- Achieve success with your payment products, including accountâtoâaccount payments, card payments and internal transfers, with clear goals and measures of success.
- Lead a crossâfunctional squad to conceive of, validate, design, build, test and launch impactful customer experiences that solve real paymentârelated problems.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the many functions of the bank, including the leadership team, Product and Technology, Design, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, Risk and Compliance, to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
- Put the customer needs first, while achieving your objectives and ensuring Kroo remains compliant, secure and operationally robust in its payment flows.
- Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Interview Process
We can be flexible with the structure of our interview process if someone's circumstances or timescales require it, but our general structure is:
- CPTO â 30 minutes
- Engineering Managers â 60 minutes
- Staff Engineers â 60 minutes
- Executive/Founder â 30 minutes

Hybrid Working
