Kroo Lending is here to support the life milestones of our customers. Borrowing can support something joyful, or be a bit grown up: a cargo bike for the commute with kids or replacing a tired old boiler. Credit analytics, decisioning and credit operations effectiveness is at the heart of our ability to support lending customers, ensuring we can offer the most suitable product and service and sustainably grow the business. We have launched some familiar products - overdrafts, and unsecured personal loans - and are now preparing to expand the scale of these.
We want to improve the relationship people have with their banks and money and, ultimately, give them more financial independence and control. The Credit Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting credit risk assessment, contributing to lending decisions, and monitoring portfolio performance for unsecured loan products. This role combines core credit risk principles with data-led analysis to support fair, sustainable, and scalable lending within a digital-first environment.
How you’ll contribute:
- Support the development and maintenance of credit decisioning rules, scorecards, and underwriting processes in line with the Bank's risk appetite and strategy.
- Assist in analysing decisioning engine performance and contribute to the ongoing refinement of scorecards, rules, and affordability models.
- Work with data and product teams to support testing of new data sources and models, including contributing to controlled experiments such as AB testing of strategies.
- Support pricing analysis by monitoring the performance of lending offers across different customer segments.
- Assist in the application and review of affordability assessments, including the use of Open Banking data to understand customer circumstances and identify potential vulnerability indicators.
- Monitor portfolio performance metrics such as arrears, delinquency trends, and cohort behaviour, highlighting key insights and potential risks.
- Support updates to credit policies, procedures, and risk appetite frameworks within the lending team.
- Provide input into product and customer journey improvements, ensuring credit risk considerations are appropriately reflected.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of digital onboarding and underwriting processes through data analysis and feedback.
