We are looking for an organised and analytical Production Planner to join our Production Planning team at our Chirk manufacturing facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a planning professional to play a key role in ensuring efficient production scheduling, stock control, and material procurement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Working closely with production, sales, and supply chain teams, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining weekly and daily production plans to optimise capacity and efficiency.
- Building strong relationships with production management.
- Coordinating production scheduling across manufacturing operations.
- Monitoring and analysing production capacity and performance.
- Managing stock control activities, including inventory monitoring, stock analysis, and stock updates.
- Coordinating the transfer and availability of production materials.
- Analysing laminate and inlay consumption and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Raising purchase orders and managing supplier call-offs.
- Preparing monthly reports and maintaining accurate planning records.
- Attending daily meetings and providing planning updates where required.
- Liaising with internal departments including Production, Sales, and Supply Chain.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and performance standards.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- At least 3 months experience in production planning, scheduling, stock control, or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Secondary or College-level education.
- Ideally 3 years' experience in production planning, stock management, or a related discipline.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
