The Role
We are seeking a highly driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to win new clients and secure them into contracted Krome services, driving measurable revenue growth. In this role, you will take full ownership of the sales cycle - from targeted prospecting to contract close. Your focus will be to engage new clients, understand their requirements, and successfully position Krome's managed services and IT solutions as the contracted partner of choice. You'll operate with a consultative, structured, and results driven approach.
Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Identify, target, and win new clients through outbound activity, networking, referrals, and existing relationships. Use structured outreach methods to generate consistent high quality opportunities.
- Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Manage the end to end sales process: prospecting, discovery, qualification, proposal creation, commercial negotiation, and securing signed service contracts.
- Consultative Selling: Engage senior stakeholders to understand challenges, business objectives, and IT requirements. Position Krome as the contracted service provider best placed to deliver value and expertise.
- Contract-Focused Sales: Drive clients toward adopting Krome's managed services, support contracts, and ongoing solutions. Structure proposals to clearly articulate service led value.
- Market & Industry Insight: Maintain strong awareness of the IT landscape, competitor services, and emerging trends. Apply insight to refine sales strategy and strengthen conversations with prospects.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with pre-sales, technical, service delivery, and senior teams to ensure solutions are scoped accurately and contracts are operationally deliverable. Collaborate with the Client Success Team to ensure a smooth transition once a client is in contract.
- Pipeline Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM data, a well structured pipeline, and detailed activity records. Produce reliable forecasts and report performance against targets and KPIs.
Requirements
You will excel in this role if you bring:
- Significant experience in IT Sales / Business Development, within an IT Consulting or Managed Services organisation.
- Strong understanding of IT solutions, with the ability to discuss technical concepts confidently at a commercial level.
- A proven track record of winning new business and closing high value or contracted service deals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident engaging senior decision makers.
- The ability to follow a proven sales process to drive consistent approach and output.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence at all levels.
- High levels of organisation, self motivation, and a positive, proactive attitude.
- A resilient, results focused mindset, motivated by achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- A growth mindset, committed to continuous improvement and development.
The role is 9:00am 5:00pm Monday to Friday, based at Krome's HQ in Chertsey (Surrey). Once probation has been successfully completed, there will be the opportunity to work 3 days per week in the office and 2 days flexible working (depending on client/business needs).
