Are you ready to dive into the world of portfolio valuation with Kroll's amazing team? We’re on the lookout for dynamic individuals to join our Portfolio Valuation Team as Analysts. As an Analyst in our Portfolio Valuation practice, you’ll provide a range of valuation advisory services specifically to the alternative investment community, including private equity and hedge funds, in connection with assisting those clients with valuation issues surrounding their alternative investment positions. As a market leader in providing illiquid portfolio pricing valuation, our Portfolio Valuation practice specializes in the valuation of private investments – specifically, financial instruments, businesses, and assets for which there is no "active market" quotations available. We work with clients such as hedge funds, private equity and venture capital funds, credit funds, and special situations funds.

Navigating Responsibilities
  • Performance of in-depth research of capital markets, industries and competitors as well as analyses of target companies, e.g., in terms of market strength, strategic fit, and business model / business plans.
  • Performing valuation analysis on a wide range of illiquid investments broadly distributed across industries and geographies while using accepted and relevant approaches and theory.
  • Designing financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction and option pricing analyses.
  • Analysis of capital markets and assessment of cost of capital according to CAPM.
  • Assisting the team with interviewing clients, including face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement.
  • Assisting in the development of presentations and publications communicated to clients.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Current Degree Pursuit: Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Engineering or Economics.
  • Task Prioritization: Prioritize tasks in a collaborative team environment.
  • Analytical Thinker: Detail-oriented thinker with quick evaluation skills.
  • Tech-Savvy: Programming skills, like VBA and Python would be considered a plus.
  • Languages: Fluency in English.
