About the role
We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Risk to join our leadership team and take end-to-end ownership of risk strategy and execution across the business. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role reporting directly to the CEO. As Head of Risk, you’ll lead the development and execution of Kriya’s enterprise-wide risk framework and collaborate with Commercial, Product, Data, Finance and Legal teams. You’ll oversee the full credit lifecycle—from analytics, underwriting and structuring, through monitoring, compliance and collections—while guiding a high-performing risk team. Also, you will lead the use of AI and Advanced Risk analytics across the risk function. What You’ll Do
- Develop and lead Kriya’s risk strategy across all business lines, products, and geographies.
- Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Board on risk appetite, governance, and portfolio.
- Lead, grow, and mentor a high-performing Risk team (8 people on day one).
- Guide collections strategy and recovery workflows, ensuring efficiency and customer-centricity.
Requirements
- 7-10 years in debt capital markets, structured finance or corporate banking with a track record of leading complex credit transactions.
- STEM degree with strong analytical and decisioning skills.
- Based in London or open to relocation to London.
- Experience overseeing complex underwriting and deal structuring.
- Demonstrated leadership across multiple dimensions of risk.
- Proven ability to build and manage diversified portfolios and optimise risk-adjusted returns.
- Advanced analytical skills: financial modeling, large-data interrogation and critical credit assessment.
- Good communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Interest/Experience in leveraging AI tools.
