We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our CNC Machine Shop. The role involves running and owning the Inspection department, programming our Aberlink CMMs, managing internal and external Aerospace audits, supporting new business developments with FAIRs and customer approvals, and liaising with customers and suppliers on NCRs and quality matters. It is a hands‑on role where you will be actively involved in checking and moving parts onto suppliers for processing, or customers for delivery. You will also work with the Managing Director, Production Manager, and Team Leaders to improve our quality standards and overall quality management system.

Role Purpose:

  • Inspection / final inspection of machined components
  • CMM programming to verify parts, as well as using other inspection equipment
  • Manage internal and external audits (based on AS9100 standard)
  • Create, update, and review NCRs (both internal and external)
  • Supplier performance management (order chasing, quality control, delivery performance)

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all inspection activities (FAI, first off, final inspection)
  • Create and manage CMM programs, including training operators
  • Manage internal and external audits, including the internal audit programme
  • Manage goods in/out processes, including deliveries, supplier shipments, and goods receipt checks
  • Maintain part traceability and ownership of finished goods stock
  • Create and maintain quality and inspection documentation
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment
  • Support NPI activities and complete FAI documentation
  • Approve order and contract review quality requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement of quality performance
  • Chair quality review meetings and contribute to management reviews
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and alignment with business strategy
