Key Responsibilities
- Policy Development & Implementation: Create, review, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
- Risk Assessments & Audits: Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Training & Awareness: Deliver engaging health and safety training sessions to staff and management, fostering a culture of safety awareness.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace accidents and near‑misses, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Toolbox Talks & Awareness Campaigns: Create and deliver materials to promote understanding and discussion on key safety topics.
- Data Collection & Statistical Analysis: Record and analyse data relating to incidents, near misses, audits, training, and safety performance. Use data to identify trends and recurring issues.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a health and safety advisory role, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Knowledge: In‑depth understanding of UK health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Skills: Strong communication, training, and report‑writing abilities.
- Car & Driving Licence: Essential as travel will be required.
