We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Principal to join the senior leadership team and play a key role in shaping the strategic direction and ongoing development of the school. This role is available for an August 2026 start. The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal and colleagues to lead on key school improvement priorities, support and develop staff, and embed a culture of high expectations, inclusion and accountability. This role also includes supporting the day‑to‑day leadership and organisation of the school, promoting positive behaviour, safeguarding and wellbeing, and engaging effectively with parents, carers and the wider community.
Responsibilities
- Support the Principal in providing strategic leadership, shaping the school’s vision and driving high standards of teaching, learning and pupil outcomes.
- Lead on the development and delivery of inclusive teaching practices, with a focus on key pupil groups, including pupil premium.
- Line manage, coach and develop staff, promoting effective practice and contributing to performance management and professional development.
- Use data, self‑evaluation and school improvement planning to monitor progress and secure continuous improvement across the school.
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour, while fostering strong relationships with pupils, families and the wider community.
Qualifications & Skills
- The ability to lead and manage the school team effectively and efficiently and work with other professionals and agencies.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- The ability to manage school information and data for recording, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Ability to plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate lessons and learning as part of the school curriculum.
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.
