Job Description

Are you a compassionate, team player committed to promoting excellence, shared learning, respect and kindness within a team?

Do you have excellent communication skills that would enable you to work within a challenging male environment that constantly strives to provide the best possible experience for our patients

Located in Warrington, Maple House Rehabilitation Unit is an independent rehabilitation service for men with complex mental health needs including acquired brain injury. It is situated in the heart of Warrington with excellent transport links and is easily accessible. We focus on nurturing a positive and therapeutic environment that enables recovery and helps people fulfil their individual potential.

The service operates 24 / 7. You will work shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays and nights. Standard shifts are 12 hours a days.

You will support the service to equip service users with the skills required for community living and increased independence. We offer an effective alternative to higher levels of secure care and aim to make a positive difference in the lives of all those we support. With an individualised, person centred approach; we can tailor the rehabilitation programme to the goals of the men in our care. Where appropriate and agreed, we can also provide a managed individualised pathway to our affiliate supported living service.

You will receive training to join the team as a Recovery Worker where you will be valued and supported, with career development opportunities available.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. This career path is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week because of you.

If you have the aspiration, capability and dedication, we can give you the support and opportunities to help you achieve your career goals.

You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure those in our care are supported to make decisions and access the community. Skills are taught and support given to promote recovery and develop confidence in order for them to live a more independent life.
