Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced HBM Operator to join our skilled machining team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with complex, high‑value components in a modern precision engineering environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating Horizontal Boring Machines (HBM) to machine large precision components
- Setting up and preparing machines for production runs
- Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings
- Producing high‑tolerance components to strict quality standards
- Carrying out in‑process inspection and quality checks
- Working closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment in line with health & safety standards
What We’re Looking For
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience machining materials such as stainless steel, alloy steels, and other engineering materials
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision
- Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled engineering team
- A proactive attitude and pride in producing high‑quality engineering work
