About the business
We're working with an established and forward-thinking packaging business that is looking to appoint an Internal Account Manager to join its growing customer-focused team in Wellingborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service, account management or sales administration experience who enjoys building relationships, coordinating multiple projects and being at the centre of the customer journey.
You'll take ownership of a portfolio of customers, managing orders from initial enquiry through to delivery, while working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure everything runs smoothly and customers receive an outstanding level of service.
Purpose of an Internal Account Manager
This is much more than an order-processing position.
You'll become a key contact for your customers, developing strong working relationships and gaining valuable exposure to a diverse range of packaging and print processes, including printed cartons, self-adhesive labels and linerless labels.
You'll have the opportunity to develop your commercial and account management skills, become involved in new product development and customer projects, and work collaboratively with internal teams across the business.
Full training will be provided on the company's bespoke MIS system, so previous experience within the print or packaging industry is not essential.
Key Responsibilities of an Internal Account Manager
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as a key day-to-day point of contact.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally by telephone and email.
- Accurately raise and process customer orders from enquiry through to delivery.
- Coordinate orders across cartons, self-adhesive labels and linerless labels.
- Maintain accurate customer and order information using the company's MIS system.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.
- Brief artwork and packaging amendments through to the internal studio.
- Monitor deliveries and proactively keep customers informed of progress.
- Prepare samples and supporting materials for customers.
- Support New Product Development (NPD) projects.
- Work alongside the marketing team on customer presentations when required.
- Coordinate projects and ensure deadlines are successfully achieved.
- Identify and resolve issues proactively, keeping the customer experience at the forefront.
What they are looking for in an Internal Account Manager
We're looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and genuinely enjoys working with customers.
You'll ideally have experience in an internal account management, customer service, sales administration or similar role, with the confidence to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues at all levels.
You'll bring

- Good working knowledge of
Microsoft Word and Excel .

Experience within print, packaging or manufacturing would be advantageous but is not essential.
