We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development and Marketing Manager for a 3-month FTC. This role will see you working closely with senior managers and a multi-location team, supporting marketing and business development (BD) activities across the firm. This is an exciting opportunity to manage key projects, collaborate with various stakeholders, and contribute to the firm’s growth in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This position can be based in London, Chatham, or Horsham, but candidates must be willing to travel as required. A background in accountancy or law is ideal.

In this role, you will be a key member of the Marketing and Business Development team, working closely with senior managers, partners, and teams across the firm to implement and manage marketing and BD activities. You will coordinate with third-party organisations such as agencies, media, and sponsorship partners, while ensuring that projects and initiatives are successfully executed across the firm. You will also provide guidance and support to junior team members on specific projects and activities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the pilot of a new branded template system, including working closely with service lines and the IT team for setup and testing.
  • Overseeing the implementation of client care delivery team actions.
  • Supporting the activation of a new sector specialism in Creative, Media, and Technology, covering communications and events programmes.
  • Assisting the accounts and outsourcing service lines with their marketing and BD plans, collaborating with BD representatives across regional offices.
  • Managing the gathering of information required for award entries, including data, testimonials, and supporting materials, and reviewing/approving editorial and press releases.
  • Supporting firmwide telemarketing campaigns and drafting proposals as needed.
  • Assisting the Senior BD and Senior Marketing Manager with other Marketing and BD activities as required.

  • Excellent communication skills, including experience in drafting proposals, reviewing press releases, and managing award submissions.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in working with external partners, including media, sponsorships, and agencies.
  • Ideally, a background in accountancy or law.
