This is a full-time, on-site Customs Officer role based in Heston-UK. The Customs Officer will manage import and export documentation, ensure compliance with customs regulations, and coordinate customs brokerage activities for shipments.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and validating customs declarations
- Maintaining accurate records
- Liaising with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve clearance issues
- Supporting customers with inquiries related to duties, tariffs, and shipment status while providing clear and timely communication
- Monitoring regulatory changes

Qualifications:
- Strong customs operations knowledge, including Customs Brokerage and practical experience with Import Export procedures
- Export-focused skills, including documentation preparation, regulatory understanding, and coordination of outbound shipments
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain customs requirements clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Proven customer service capabilities, including handling inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining professional relationships
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation, data entry, and record-keeping
- Ability to work on-site in Bordon, managing time effectively in a fast-paced logistics or supply chain environment
- Familiarity with customs regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance; experience with customs software or ERP systems is an advantage
- Relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or trade compliance; a diploma or degree in supply chain, business, or a related field is beneficial
