The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading the full design process from concept to production. You will create new turbomachinery designs and update our current high‑complexity designs. During the creation process, you will ensure that our turbomachinery designs meet all the necessary requirements. As a senior engineer, you will coordinate, manage, direct, and provide guidance to the junior designers in a project team.
Responsibilities
- Create, update and maintain designs.
- Manage multiple complex projects at the same time.
- Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements.
- Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget and on time.
- Develop standards and guidelines for tasks being performed.
- Review engineering requirements and communicate engineering issues with the Chief Engineers’ office.
- Support the management of designers on a project team, review design schemes and provide technical guidance.
Experience And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical degree.
- 12+ years of applicable work experience, preferably in turbomachinery.
- CAD experience required, NX proficiency advantageous.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to make technical presentations internally and to customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work with customers to define and document requirements, address technical concerns and provide project status.
Work Environment
The work environment will include a combination of office and lab/workshop. Travel will be required from time to time throughout the UK and Europe, as well as possibly worldwide. Employee will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
