Responsibilities

  • Implement the College’s outreach strategy across Hertfordshire, Norfolk and online, working with schools, colleges and other educational partners.
  • Plan, organise and run outreach programmes to attract more applicants from under‑represented groups and increase state‑school applications to Gonville & Caius College.
  • Coordinate school visits to Cedar, administer online outreach programmes and travel to schools in Ludgershall and Southwark as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, produce reports and track outcomes.
  • Build and sustain relationships with teachers, governors, university staff and external partners, presenting the College’s values and admissions process.
  • Develop communication materials, social media content and event invitations to promote the College’s mission.
  • Work collaboratively with the outreach team and the College’s admissions office to ensure consistency and impact of programmes.

Qualifications

  • 1‑3 years of experience in outreach, education or community engagement.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, confident working with students, teachers, parents and community groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, event‑planning tools and data‑tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of the Cambridge admissions process a plus, but not essential.
  • Strong team spirit, willingness to travel and flexibility to meet deadlines.
