Where you'll fit in
The Customer Entities team sits at the centre of the Kraken Customer system; providing the foundations for the customer's experience.
It provides representations of the core parts of the system – an account and customer's identity.
It also provides addresses information to the system, which is key to many parts of the system, such as ensuring comms are sent to actual verified locations.
You will be helping with further enhancing the relatively new addresses product with features such as verifying address information.
- We have challenging technical problems to solve; like processing tens of millions of meter readings a day.
We need the right technology in place to handle this smoothly as well as feeding data into a machine learning pipeline that models and predicts consumption.
Or thinking about how we adapt Kraken to improve other utilities like water and broadband.

The energy landscape is changing as we move to more dis‑aggregated forms of generation, with less predictability, more dynamism and smarter technology.

It would be helpful to have experience/expertise in the following (in rough priority order):
- Python
- Django (or equiv. web framework)
- Domain modelling
- HTTP and REST APIs
- Writing robust and fault‑tolerant software
- Celery and async processing
- Postgres
- Bonus points
- AWS
- Terraform, Packer, Consul
