The team: CF Benchmarks Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kraken, is the leading provider of cryptocurrency benchmarks and indices. We’re on the hunt for a Senior Sales & Business Development Lead to join our team in Europe! We’re seeking a highly ambitious and driven sales professional to lead CF Benchmarks’ sales initiatives across our suite of index products. The primary goal of this role is to expand our client base, drive new revenue, and ultimately help our clients succeed. With full ownership of the end‑to‑end sales process, you’ll not only represent our product suite but also build strong, long‑term partnerships with clients.
You’ll play a key role in executing and refining the firm’s go‑to‑market strategy across the EMEA region, working closely with the index content and marketing teams to deliver commercial outcomes. You’ll report directly to the CEO and play a hands‑on role in shaping the future of crypto at one of the strongest brands in the space.
The opportunity:
- Lead the CF Benchmarks sales effort across EMEA, driving client acquisition and volume growth for the CF Benchmarks product suite.
- Generate, filter, and pursue client leads through both inbound and outbound activities, while also supporting team members in doing the same.
- Manage a portfolio of institutional clients, building trust‑based relationships, recognizing their needs, and demonstrating how CF Benchmarks can deliver value.
- Identify new opportunities for the company's indices and data to play an increasing role in both the cryptocurrency and traditional financial industries.
- Represent CF Benchmarks at industry events, traveling across Europe for client meetings, conferences, and strategic engagements.
- Collaborate with content and marketing teams to convert brand awareness and interest into tangible business opportunities.
Skills you should HODL:
- 7+ years of experience in finance sales, with a track record of driving revenue and expanding business within the institutional sales segment. Experience at an index provider or in a crypto‑native environment is a strong plus.
- Solid comprehension of the use cases for indices and market participants that would utilize them and knowledge of complex financial products.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of cryptocurrency regulations with a proven ability to navigate and ensure adherence to evolving regulatory frameworks. Knowledge of the EU BMR regulatory framework is a plus.
- A robust personal network within the financial services sector, particularly with a focus on institutional and corporate clients.
- Interest about the cryptocurrency world and most importantly a learning attitude about new crypto‑industry trends.
- Believe wholeheartedly in the values of Kraken as outlined in our Kraken Culture Explained document.
This role requires international travel of up to 30% of the time to represent the CFB brand at conferences and maintain close relationships with clients. Based in London, Zurich, or Frankfurt, with fluency in English. Proficiency in French or German is a plus.
