About Kraken

Help us use technology to make a big green dent in the universe! Kraken powers some of the most innovative global developments in energy. We’re a technology company focused on creating a smart, sustainable energy system. From optimising renewable generation, creating a more intelligent grid and enabling utilities to provide excellent customer experiences, our operating system for energy is transforming the industry around the world in a way that benefits everyone. It’s a really exciting time in energy. Help us make a real impact on shaping a better, more sustainable future.

What we do:

  • Build the most AI-driven, innovative, forward-thinking platform for energy management.
  • Optimise resources to deliver cost-effective, exceptional customer experiences through advanced Customer Information Systems (CIS), billing, meter data management, CRM, and AI-driven communications.

Why we do it

Future energy will not look like energy as we know it today. We need to not just think about our future, but build for it. Now.

What's happening

For ten years, Kraken has been transforming how the world’s energy companies operate. We've migrated utilities off legacy systems onto our platform, changed how they run their businesses from the ground up, and helped drive the energy transition. Over 90 million households are already contracted to run on Kraken. Our goal is to impact the lives of 1 billion people. We are applying the same ambition to how we work. Kraken's own AI Transformation is setting sail to multiply our impact for all clients. The programme has full executive sponsorship and six workstreams running in parallel: engineering velocity, company-wide enablement, knowledge infrastructure, client-facing AI products, data governance, and risk management. The goal is a company where AI isn't a side tool; it's how we work, and where that translates directly into faster migrations, better client outcomes, and a bigger green dent.

What you'll do

You’ll work directly with our AI Transformation Director Nina Möger and be the operational quarterback of the programme. In practice, that means:

  • Setting up and running the PMO: SteerCo prep, regular reporting on programme health, workstream governance.
  • Coordinate and mobilise across People, Engineering, Product and Enablement to resolve dependencies and keep execution moving.
  • Owning budget, staffing, reporting and KPIs across all workstreams.
  • Tracking what we need to know: token costs, adoption rates, cycle‑time reduction, manual workflow automation.
  • Working with the SME working group on data privacy, client trust and compliance.
  • Making sure 'now', 'next' and 'later' projects don't collapse into one lane.

In sum, you will have a front‑row seat to running an AI transformation for a fast‑paced tech company with more than 2,000 people and full executive buy‑in. You'll be working at the intersection of AI tooling, engineering velocity and organisational change, at a company that moves fast and wants to move faster. It’ll be a lot of fun.

Who you are

To love this job and thrive at Kraken…

  • You are hungry, humble and smart.
  • You're hands‑on, MVP‑oriented, and wired to get things done.
  • You are organised and can organise others.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity: we're growing fast and some things get figured out as you go.
  • You are good at working across a global, distributed team.
  • You are optimistic and resilient under pressure.
  • You can come from any background.
  • What matters is that you're an AI power user: someone who uses it, has opinions about what's worth the hype, and tries something new every time it crosses your radar.
  • You stay on top of what's changing because you find it interesting, not because it's in your OKRs.
  • You're optimistic about what AI can do for organisations and you have the patience to bring sceptics along.
  • You also know the difference between a transformation that actually works and one that just produces a lot of decks.
  • You're based in London or Paris.

Skills you'll need

  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex programmes with technical and cultural workstreams.
  • Enough AI fluency to hold your own in discussions with engineering and product teams: LLMs, agentic workflows, AI infrastructure are not new territory.
  • Ability to understand executive stakeholders, build consensus on priorities and make progress without waiting for everyone to be on board.
  • Experience running parallel workstreams in fast‑paced environments, with a bias towards useful v1s over perfect v2s.
  • Strong belief in what Kraken is doing.
