The PR & Communications team manages Kraken’s global reputation and leads external communications across a range of products, public policy priorities, and corporate initiatives. The team plays a central role in shaping public understanding of emerging financial technologies, including crypto, traditional equities, the tokenization of real-world assets, payments, and on-chain ecosystems.
The opportunity
- Help develop and execute global integrated communications strategies that expand awareness of xStocks, aligned with Kraken’s objective of establishing it as the universal standard for the tokenized equities category.
- Shape and simplify the public narrative around tokenized equities, addressing misunderstandings and building credibility with media, ecosystem partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Position both Kraken and the xStocks brand as trusted voices in the category by driving visibility at global conferences and industry events, including identifying high-impact opportunities, securing speaking engagements, and supporting on-the-ground activations.
- Prepare communications materials, including press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, talking points, and reactive statements, for strategic xStocks announcements.
- Partner with product, growth, business development, and marketing teams to ensure messaging is aligned with roadmap milestones and ecosystem partnerships.
- Execute timely, creative PR moments that cut through noise and help define the tokenized equities category.
- Track industry trends, competitive narratives, and regulatory developments to inform proactive communications planning.
- Bring a social-first mindset to media relations and content creation, with an understanding of how stories travel across platforms.
- Support broader PR and Communications initiatives as needed, including helping strengthen Kraken’s regional media presence across the UK and Europe.
Skills you should HODL
- 4–7+ years of experience in PR, communications, journalism, or related fields. Experience in fintech, traditional finance, or technology is strongly preferred.
- A strong understanding of capital markets or financial infrastructure, with curiosity about how crypto and tokenization are reshaping global finance, particularly equities.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
- Highly proactive, ambitious, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience supporting executives, including briefing senior leaders for interviews and public-facing communications.
- A builder mindset: scrappy, creative, and excited to help scale an entirely new product category.
- A genuine interest in innovation and a belief that financial markets can work better than they do today.
