Building the Future of Open Finance. Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.

The team Payward Services is an enterprise infrastructure platform that enables companies to seamlessly integrate trading, payments, funding, and digital asset services through a single unified system. It provides coordinated liquidity, custody, compliance, risk management, and settlement capabilities, reducing operational complexity for fintechs, banks, brokerages, and payment providers.

We are looking for a Platform Product Manager to join our Payward Services team. This is a builder: someone who can own a product roadmap end to end, go deep on how a flow actually works, and ship regulated B2B2C products (KYC/KYB, lending, unified APIs) from concept to launch.

The opportunity

  • Own the product roadmap and build-out for our B2B2C platform products (KYC/KYB, lending, unified APIs).
  • Defining requirements, partnering with Engineering on execution, and driving products from concept through launch and iteration.
  • Get hands-on with the product itself: how a flow works, where it breaks, what needs to change to make it scale, and what it takes to bring it to market in a regulated environment.
  • Drive cross-functional execution with Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to turn roadmap priorities into shipped product.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure new product builds meet regulatory requirements as part of the design and build process, rather than as a downstream gate.
  • Support the operational functions tied to our US regulated entities as needed to keep product work moving.

What You Bring

  • Strong product management experience: you've owned a roadmap, shipped B2B or B2B2C products, and can speak fluently to product strategy, requirements, and execution.
  • Direct, hands-on experience implementing KYC, either building it in house or standing up a KYC solution to resell or offer to external parties. This is a must have, not a nice to have.
  • Experience building or managing platform products (shared infrastructure, APIs, internal client or partner models) in a B2B or B2B2C context.
  • Comfortable getting into the technical weeds with Engineering, not just managing product from the outside.
  • Experience building products in a regulated environment, at a financial institution, fintech, or similar, with a solid understanding of how regulation shapes product decisions.
  • A track record of driving complex, cross-functional builds with no formal authority.
  • An excellent communicator across regulators, boards, engineers, and commercial partners.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Services industry through a working understanding of the financial services industry - whether gained at a major financial institution, a fintech, a startup, or through adjacent regulated experience - enough to reason about how regulation, compliance, and money movement shape product decisions without needing it explained from scratch.

Nice to haves

  • Experience working at a KYC/KYB service provider.
  • Crypto or digital assets experience, in industry or through regulated product launches, including familiarity with crypto native operations (treasury and custody).
  • Former founder or early product hire at a fintech or crypto startup.

Unless a specific application deadline is stated in the job posting, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.

Our commitment

Payward is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate the diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions, and unique perspectives that everyone brings to the table. We hire based on merit, seeking out people with the right abilities, knowledge, and skills for the job. We encourage you to apply for roles where you don't fully meet the listed requirements, especially if you're passionate or knowledgeable about crypto.
