We are building a SaaS subscription business that digitally connects hundreds of thousands of distributed energy resources (DERs) with energy markets, targeting a global addressable market of £2.4 bn per year. We want you to help us make a big green dent in the universe.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions for the UK utilities market, tackling complex domain modelling and process‑heavy problems.
- Build and maintain systems that process tens of millions of meter readings per day, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Integrate data into machine learning pipelines for consumption modelling and prediction.
- Explore opportunities to extend Kraken’s platform to other utilities such as water and broadband.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong problem‑solving and coding skills in Python.
- Experience with Django or a comparable web framework.
- Proficiency in domain modelling, HTTP/REST APIs, and writing robust, fault‑tolerant software.
- Knowledge of concurrent/async processing (Celery) and PostgreSQL.
- Bonus: AWS, Terraform, Packer, Consul.
