Building the Future of Open Finance. Payward - the parent company behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks - has spent the last 15 years building one of the most modern and globally accessible financial infrastructure platforms in the industry, built to advance an open, global financial system.

The team at Payward Services is an enterprise infrastructure platform that enables companies to seamlessly integrate trading, payments, funding, and digital asset services through a single unified system. It provides coordinated liquidity, custody, compliance, risk management, and settlement capabilities, reducing operational complexity for fintechs, banks, brokerages, and payment providers.

Within Payward Services, Trading-as-a-Service is the product line that powers trading inside partner apps. We help fintechs, banks, brokerages, and platforms offer their users digital asset trading — spot, derivatives, tokenized equities, recurring buys, limit orders — without building exchange infrastructure from scratch. The partner owns the front end and the brand; we run execution, liquidity, and market connectivity underneath, exposed through modular APIs that go live in weeks, not quarters.

We're hiring a Senior PM to drive Trading-as-a-Service. Reporting to the Trading GM, this is a hands-on, builder-first, API-first role. You'll shape what we build, define how partners integrate it, and work directly with clients to make sure the product holds up in real-world deployments. You won't carry a sales quota — but the products you ship directly drive Payward Services revenue.

The opportunity:

  • Own the roadmap and execution across the Trade surfaces — Convert & Trade, PTL-as-a-Service (custodial and non-custodial), Orderbook/CLOB API, Recurring Buys, Limit Orders, and PTL + xStocks (tokenized equities) — and lead the full lifecycle from discovery through build, launch, and iteration.
  • Work directly with partners (fintechs, banks, brokerages, platforms) to understand integration requirements, unblock deployments, and ensure product-market fit.
  • Drive product decisions on trading UX patterns, API design, custody models, and compliance workflows for B2B2C use cases.
  • Treat the API as the product: design the REST/WebSocket surfaces, auth, webhooks, SDKs, and docs that determine whether a partner integrates in weeks or stalls.
  • Make the hard product calls on execution models (RFQ/internalized-spread vs. CLOB maker-taker), custody models (custodial vs. non-custodial), account structures (omnibus vs. fully-disclosed, master/sub-account settlement), and the compliance workflows around them.
  • Own the metrics that matter: partner integration velocity, trading volume, assets on platform (AOP), end-user activation, and revenue impact.
  • Collaborate with the Derivatives team on jointly-owned crypto derivatives capabilities.
  • Partner with Sales and BD on strategic deals — demos, technical scoping, custom integration planning.

What you bring:

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time building B2B2C infrastructure — ideally platforms that help companies add trading, brokerage, or financial services to their own apps.
  • B2B / developer-facing API product experience - You've owned API products that external partners build against, and you understand what makes integration fast or painful: API design, auth, webhooks, sandbox environments, SDKs, multi-tenant architecture, onboarding friction. Alternatively: deep trading/exchange product experience and the appetite to grind into the B2B API problem.
  • Hands-on experience with trading platforms or exchange infrastructure — order types, execution models, custody, settlement — and what it takes to ship trading products at scale (exchange, brokerage, or trading-infra background strongly preferred).
  • Technical fluency: you hold your own in architecture discussions, make informed build/buy tradeoffs, and challenge engineering when needed.
  • Experience in regulated financial services, operating within compliance and licensing constraints across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong product sense with commercial awareness — you lead with product but understand how roadmap choices drive revenue, without needing a quota to motivate you.
  • Comfort in ambiguity: you move fast, decide with imperfect information, and adapt as the business scales.
