Overview
In this role you will design and build the technical layer of Kraken’s AI platform, enabling safe, scalable AI tooling for the organization.
You’ll close capability gaps, own the governed integration gateway, and develop internal tooling to extend the platform.
You will configure spend controls and data/identity policies, work directly with teams to unlock their workflows, and lead technical enablement and end-to-end administration of the AI estate.
This is a hand-on, impact-driven opportunity to shape a scalable AI platform in a regulated, enterprise context.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the AI platform’s technical layer from surface to production runbook
- Identify capability gaps and evaluate vendors or build internally to close them
- Own the governed integration gateway including onboarding, authentication, reliability, and vendor escalation
- Develop internal tooling for agent scaffolding, prompt assets, evaluation harnesses, provisioning automation, and system integrations
- Configure and operate tiered spend controls across the AI estate with role-based caps and reconciliation
- Implement technical controls for data handling, retention, identity, and workspace configuration by model class
- Collaborate with teams to unblock workflows and enable real leverage from tools
- Lead technical enablement activities: deep dives, office hours, and knowledge base material
- Administer the enterprise AI estate end-to-end: provisioning, feature enablement, deprecation, and vendor configurations
- Key requirements
- Enterprise Saa S administration experience (1000+ seats), ideally with an AI or LLM platform
- Proven ability to ship software beyond vendor configurations
- Proficiency in Python or a comparable language
- Experience with version control, CI, containers, and secrets management
- Experience integrating LLM and Saa S APIs with agent/tool patterns (MCP or equivalent tool calling)
- Identity and access knowledge: Okta or similar Id P, OAuth, SCIM, SSO, federated machine identity
- Operational discipline: SLAs, runbooks, intake queues, escalation hygiene, documentation
- Strong teaching ability and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
