As a Supply Chain Risk & Compliance Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our supply chain is robust, compliant, resilient, and capable of supporting the delivery of cutting-edge autonomous maritime systems.

Working across suppliers, subcontractors, logistics partners, and internal teams, you'll lead activities that manage risk, strengthen supplier performance, and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, environmental, and ethical standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence supplier strategy, drive continuous improvement, and help safeguard the integrity of Kraken's operations as we continue to grow.

Develop and maintain Kraken's Supply Chain Risk Management framework.

Identify, assess, and monitor supplier risks including quality, cyber security, financial stability, ESG, regulatory compliance, and modern slavery risks.

Manage supplier risk registers and drive mitigation activities.

Lead supplier onboarding, due diligence, and approval processes.

Review supplier certifications and management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Cyber Essentials.

Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and performance reviews.

Develop supplier scorecards and monitor quality, delivery, and compliance performance.

Support corrective action activities and supplier improvement programmes.

Investigate supplier non-conformances and compliance issues.

Produce supply chain risk and compliance reports for management.

Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Systems, Stores, and Project teams to support business objectives.

Experience in supplier management, supplier assurance, procurement, or supply chain compliance.

Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments.

Proven ability to develop supplier risk assessments and mitigation plans.

Knowledge of supply chain due diligence processes.

Experience managing supplier performance metrics.

Strong analytical and report-writing skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Teams.

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, defence, aerospace, maritime, or technology sectors.

Knowledge of DEF STAN requirements.

Understanding of supply chain cyber security requirements.

Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks.

Knowledge of export controls, sanctions screening, and licensing requirements.

Experience working within ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
