The Customer Entities team sits at the centre of the Kraken Customer system; providing the foundations for the customer's experience. It provides representations of the core parts of the system - an account and customer's identity. It also provides addresses information to the system, which is key to many parts of the system, such as ensuring comms are sent to actual verified locations. You will be helping with further enhancing the relatively new addresses product with features such as verifying address information.

What you’ll do:

  • Work on challenging technical problems, such as processing tens of millions of meter readings a day and feeding data into a machine learning pipeline that models and predicts consumption.
  • Explore opportunities for disruption in the UK energy market and adapt Kraken to improve other utilities like water and broadband.
  • Contribute to combating climate change through our investment in renewable energy, including solar and wind generation, and helping users move the UK toward a lower carbon future.

What you’ll need:

  • Python Django (or equivalent web framework)
  • Domain modelling
  • HTTP and REST APIs
  • Writing robust and fault‑tolerant software
  • Celery and async processing
  • PostgreSQL

Plus experience in the following would be a bonus:

  • AWS
  • Terraform, Packer, Consul
