An opportunity for a Fire Project Manager & Estimator is available with my client who is a well-established and respected Fire and Security business that designs, installs, services, and maintains fire, intruder alarms, CCTV, door entry, access control, and external security systems.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in receiving enquiries from customers and providing a price estimate or a quotation/specification. This may be either via a tender enquiry or by carrying out a site survey.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing tenders and quotations by designing or interpreting specifications provided for conventional fire and analogue fire systems, and as required, designing and pricing other systems such as PA/VA systems, emergency lighting, nurse call systems, disabled toilet alarms, disabled refuge systems, induction loops, and other associated systems.
  • Managing the Installation Engineers and the daily needs associated.
  • Scheduling the work and agreeing the installation dates with the customer.
  • Monitoring the progress of the installation work with the Installation Engineers, ensuring that progress aligns with any associated building works or construction programmes, which may involve direct involvement on site to ensure adherence to the programme.
  • Assessing the suitability of equipment.
