A new opportunity for an experienced Service Engineer is available with my client who are a leading manufacturer of industrial printing presses and related technologies for commercial, packaging and publishing applications. Their ideal candidate will be happy to travel UK wide and occasional trips abroad with nights away from home, and have a relevant mechanical engineering qualification, as well as compressed air pneumatic systems and fluid systems. Service Engineer role: Visit customer sites to provide pro-active and re-active service cover, consultation on upgrades and new machine sales. Install and commission new and relocated sheetfed offset printing machinery. Spend in excess of 70% of working time on field-based activities Provide follow-up reporting after all visits and seek to identify other service opportunities. The role includes working on client’s production sites for extended periods in the UK and potential limited periods overseas. Ensure all service-related paperwork is completed in a timely manner Provide remote support to customers via technical support desk and weekend on call rota. Other duties as may be required Service Engineer requirement: Educated to a relevant mechanical or mechatronic engineering qualification Proven field service experience on mechanical machinery Ideally located in East Midlands, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire (surrounding areas considered) Service or maintenance experience on Industrial printing equipment – beneficial not essential Happy to travel UK wide with overnight stays and occasional trips abroad UK driving license Service Engineer Package: Salary base £38k – £40k per annum Paid overtime (£7k – £10k) per annum Pension 23 days holiday + bank hols Fully expensed company vehicle for all business travel Other benefits are offered with this position
