My client specialises in the installation of process and packaging machinery to various industries around the UK and Internationally. They are currently seeking a multi-skilled installation engineer with relevant experience and knowledge for the role. The candidate will be home or work based, depending on location, but the role involves regular travel all over the UK with opportunities to work internationally also.
Multi Skilled Installation Engineer role:
- Installation of automated packaging machinery in various industries
- Completing site installation from initial layout, erection, mechanical & electrical fitting. Candidate will need to be proficient in all aspects, with opportunity to progress through to commissioning level with in-house training provided.
- Compiling Installation reports, while also liaising with Management team on progress, ensuring projects meet targets, and adaptations are made where necessary.
- Electrical work involves wiring 3-phase, 400v, 24vdc systems including sensory and safety equipment.
- Connection & Layout of pneumatic equipment.
- Responsible for own Health and Safety, conducting task related Risk Assessments and safe system of work as necessary.
Multi Skilled Installation Engineer requirement:
- Knowledge and experience of erecting steel structures, involving use of lifting equipment, forklifts, telehandlers & MEWP. Experience required, licences desirable.
- Previous experience of working on single and three phase supply, 24v dc systems, along with basic fault finding required during installations. Relevant industry recognised qualifications desirable.
- Good team player but also proficient working alone when required.
- Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain customer relationships in order to maintain a high level of customer service.
- Willingness to work/stay away consistently during the week. Applicants must be flexible and adaptable to changing work schedules.
- Full UK driving licence.

Salary: £46.5k base + overtime, 24 Days + Bank Holidays, Increased over long service. Company Van provided, Laptop and Uniform. Company Pension.
