This leader plays a key role in changing the culture on site, securing FSQ on everyone’s agenda with a steadfast set of clearly defined, clearly communicated standards. The FSQ Manager is an inspirational people and consumer focused leader who is supportive of an inclusive team environment. You’ll be part of Site Leadership Team, partnering with key collaborators within a fast-paced environment. You’ll report to the Head of FSQ in the Central Team with dotted line report to Site Manager of the factory. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior partners.
The role of FSQ Manager will focus on all Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) aspects of the site, ensuring that raw materials, intermediates and finished goods meet specifications as well as customer and consumer expectations.
ResponsibilitiesIn brief, you will be responsible for achieving the following:
- Owning the Site Quality Improvement plan within the Quality pillar of the Global Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS), to drive consumer excellence and deliver measurable results.
- Co‑ordinating all FSQ activities at the factory, including the Change Control Process, Capital/Factory generated projects and R&D initiatives, to ensure that the production of all finished products aligns with legislation, our Corporate Policies and FSQ standards.
- Lead and develop the quality team to become a highly effective, impactful team, who can deliver successful QRMP, IPM and BRC audits on site, ensuring they are widely understood, implemented and maintained.
- Identify and define training requirements for the factory operation.
- Develop and deliver training courses to site Operations and Engineering teams in support of improvement initiatives.
- Deliver improvements in product processing consistency and the resolution of factory production issues due to equipment, process or raw materials.
- Involvement with all major changes through Change Control and support implementation of capital projects.
- Support quality improvement /R&D work and ongoing projects that must meet the requirements of the Quality System and QRMP.
- Define required hygiene and GMP standards within the manufacturing environment and maintain these standards through audit.
- Support production by providing advice to develop quality systems, improve manufacturing processes and resolve quality problems.
- Ensure Quality incidents are fully investigated to ensure permanent solutions are implemented.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry in a Quality Assurance Management / Operational Management environment, supported by a degree in an appropriate scientific field and have validated management abilities. They will have a pragmatic demeanour and be able to make timely, effective decisions whilst protecting the Kraft Heinz Company brands, and maintaining an extensive knowledge of techniques such as HACCP, risk assessment and continuous improvement.
