Shift Pattern: Rotating Days or Permanent Nights available
Role Summary
To work as part of a multi-disciplined shift team to maintain the assets within the Centre to optimise the utilisation of the equipment and to deliver maximum volume at the right quality. Working closely with the Shift / Production Managers and technicians to provide a quick response to line breakdowns and to support asset improvement. To provide engineering and operational support to the Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- To carry out maintenance duties to support production either planned or in support of breakdowns or commissioning.
- Will be trained to safely carry out work on equipment located in production areas across Kitt Green.
- Will be expected to use the SAP system to report work done and contribute to the overall effectiveness by assisting in planning.
- Will be expected to participate in training and to train others including apprentices.
- Will work to the highest Engineering standards to fully support RU and product quality.
- Proactive and willing to challenge the status quo and initiate improvements.

- Electrical / Mechanical Duty Holder.
- Has an active role to play in continuously improving our business.
- Resilience to ensure problems are completed through to the identification and resolution of root cause.
- Support improvement activities / events within facilities and engineering owned areas.
- Understands the impact of own actions and others on achieving site/business objectives.
- Aware of how current performance impacts the bottom line.
- Ability to deliver on the job training (knowledge transfer) to new / existing colleagues and apprentices through creation SMP/SOPs.
- Health and safety of self and others.
- Complete and submit PPM and Reactive task paperwork accurately and timeously.
- Escort and oversee subcontractors as necessary.
- Raise permits to work.
Expected Qualifications / Experience
- Good communication skills to ensure quality handovers.
- Must be flexible and possess the ability to work in teams.
- Committed to the support of proactive management of all departments KPI’s.
- Possess a flexible and enthusiastic outlook.
- A Team Player.
- Proactive in approach to all aspects of work.
- Recognised / Certificated Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Minimum 3 years in maintenance.
- Experience in a Manufacturing Industry.
- Mechanical / Electrical Biased.
- ONC/HNC/NVQ L3.
- PLC knowledge (Siemens/Allen Bradley).
- Experience of safety and control circuits 24v/110v.
- Servo motors, Invertors, HMI’s, Relays and contactors.
