The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on our packaging lines, as well as providing technical support to our production staff.

This role operates on a rotating shift schedule – see below.

Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm

Week 2: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Week 3: 10:00pm – 6:00am

Week 4: 7:00am – 4:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and fault finding on machinery and equipment

• Carry out breakdowns and repairs in a timely and efficient manner

• Assist with machine and product changeovers

• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues

• Generate and implement new ideas for improvement

We\’re looking for someone with:

• Fitter/Turner Machinist qualification

• Mechanical and/or electrical qualification

• Knowledge of food-related machinery, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and PLC programming

• Experience in a FMCG environment (desirable)

• Experience on a high-speed packaging line (desirable)

• Basic welding experience (desirable)

• High-speed packaging line experience (desirable)

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
