A unique opportunity to join KR8 Real Estate, a new, Managing Director‑led Real Estate & Advisory practice, part of the K3 Advisory Group, based in London, Manchester, and Leeds. This ambitious team plans to grow its service proposition and expand into other key locations. KR8 Real Estate is looking for a Director to head our Building & Project Consultancy ("B&PC") offering in the London office, with UK‑wide travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Traditional Building and Project Consultancy work for good book clients, including dilapidations, schedules of condition, surveys, due diligence, reinstatement cost assessments, contract administration, project management and design/specification of work.
- Work alongside the wider Real Estate team on stressed or distressed assets, providing detailed technical advice on compliance matters (planning, building control, health & safety, and warranties) and advising on works and cost to complete developments.
- Approximately 70% of the role is focused on residential properties and developments, requiring a detailed understanding of residential development.
Qualifications:
- Chartered (MRICS or FRICS) Building Surveyor.
- Significant post-qualification experience (10+ years) in building surveying and project management, ideally in consultancy and including leadership or director‑level roles.
- Deep expertise in dilapidations, surveys, contract administration and project management, due diligence, and development monitoring.
- Experience in multiple sectors (commercial, retail, industrial and residential).
- Strong leadership and people‑management skills; mentoring and developing staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Sound technical understanding of statutory, legal and regulatory frameworks in UK property and construction, planning, health & safety and building regulations, alongside an understanding of collateral and insurance‑backed warranties.
- Client‑facing and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
- Ability to manage and maintain strong client relationships and lead client meetings.
- Track record in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Skills in formulating bids, proposals and fee submissions.
