Job description
The Team
Our national practice\’s FO&PC team includes 162 members across the UK, led by 5 Partners, 3 Associate Partners, and 12 Directors.
We operate across five core service areas:
- Transactions and Entrepreneurial Shareholders
- Ultra High Net Worth Individuals
- International
- Partnerships
- Investigations and Enquiries
We serve high net worth individuals involved in privately owned and entrepreneurial businesses, multinational firms, landed estates, and private equity firms, with tax residency and domicile in various jurisdictions. We also provide advice on Trusts, Estates, and Partnerships.

The Role
We are seeking a Manager to join our FO&PC team in the North and Scotland region (based in Edinburgh or Glasgow).
This advisory role involves working with high net worth clients on UK and international tax issues, as well as with entrepreneurial businesses and shareholder-owned companies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality personal tax services to clients.
- Managing a diverse portfolio of complex clients, offering advice on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, international tax, and identifying opportunities for tax planning.
- Developing innovative solutions for bespoke tax problems.
- Project managing tax advisory assignments, ensuring deadlines, risk management, and compliance.
- Managing work in progress, billing, and cash collection.
- Overseeing the performance and development of junior staff.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Candidates should have:
- Qualified accountant or tax adviser with experience in personal tax and a varied client base.
- Strong academic results and insightful understanding of private client issues.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
