The Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare (IGH) team within People Consulting team works in five main market areas: Central Government, Defence and Justice; Transport and Infrastructure; Education, Skills & Productivity; Health and Human Services; and Local Government. What will you be doing?
- We are seeking a talented individual to manage and deliver client engagements, with demonstrable experience of managing the design and delivery of complex change and transformation programmes (People-Centric Transformation) to support our clients with addressing key market challenges.
- Typically, these programmes would cover at least one of the following areas: Target Operating Model Design, Organisational Redesign, Financial Recovery Programmes, Service Improvement, Back-Office Transformation and Digital Transformation.
- Managing a team of consultants and working closely with client teams to deliver client engagements.
- Providing specialist advice and working closely with client leads and team members to successfully deliver project outcomes.
- Contributing to business development and sales, working with account teams to scope opportunities and developing compelling proposals to win new clients.
- Contributing to the development of methods, tools and thought leadership.
What will you need to do it?
- Demonstrable experience of managing the delivery of complex transformation programmes for clients with a flexible skill-set and proven ability to respond to a range of different client problems.
- Knowledge and experience of a number of the other areas highlighted above.
- Knowledge and experience of working with organisations covered by at least one of the IGH market areas outlined above.
- Strong track record of managing engagement teams to deliver successful projects that meet the agreed client outcomes and experience of leading and managing teams.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and management skills (including writing communications) demonstrable experience working with senior leaders and ability to own executive-level relationships.
- Ability to demonstrate continuous learning and a passion for your discipline.
- Business development experience and ability to manage pursuits and bids and write proposals.
The qualifications and skills for these roles are not prescriptive, but you'd need to demonstrate:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment including taking initiative in ambiguous and fluid situations.
- Experience of working in a project environment, and an understanding of project management tools and techniques.
- Desirable includes accreditation in one or more psychometric assessment tools, recognised project management qualifications, e.g. PRINCE2 and / or recognised change management methodologies, e.g. Prosci ADKAR.
Skills we'd love to see/Amazing Extras:
- A proven track record in consulting with demonstrable grasp of all core consulting skills.
- Whilst we expect all of our consultants at manager grade to be able to work flexibly across our five market areas, our ambition is for the successful candidate to be aligned to the Central Government, Defence and Justice sector with a particular focus on Defence and therefore experience or an interest in this sector would be preferred.
