Cloud Director – Sales Leadership – Private Sector
At KPMG, you will bring your industry knowledge and technology experience to map customer business challenges to on-premise and cloud technology solutions, shape end-to-end transformational journeys, and deliver real business value to our key corporate clients. In this role, you will be part of exciting client engagements, lead pre-sales activities and proposals, and be responsible for delivering our portfolio of technology solutions while maintaining deep executive-level client relationships.
As part of this leadership role, you will also lead our teams, coach and mentor junior members, and contribute to our go-to-market activities by building the KPMG brand and establishing yourself as a leading advisor within our clients, the market, and our alliance partners.
Responsibilities
- Be visible as an expert in cloud transformation (including Hybrid & Multi-cloud) and build your reputation and that of KPMG in the market and with alliance partners.
- Contribute to the growth of our financial services market segment through developing market-facing propositions and assets, enhancing both KPMG\’s and your personal brand.
- Build trusted relationships with C-suite leaders at financial services clients, focusing on business challenges, opportunities, and their end-to-end technology journey.
- Lead business development efforts by shaping and selling complex advisory and implementation services around cloud transformation in the financial services sector.
- Oversee programme delivery, outcomes, and resource management in large transformation projects.
- Design and implement roadmaps, strategies, transformation plans, and assets for cloud solutions, collaborating with delivery managers, sales colleagues, and senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of new services and the growth of our team capabilities.
The Person
- Strong consulting skills with the ability to present complex solutions to business executives; experience in a large consulting organization is advantageous.
- Proven experience in business development, including leading client proposals and RFPs for cloud transformation and migration projects.
- Ability to build deep trusted advisor relationships with C-level stakeholders to guide their cloud journey.
- Experience with application migrations, including target selection, infrastructure sizing, and familiarity with migration tools.
- Knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google), microservices, APIs, containers, cloud data models, and migration patterns like rehost, refactor, rearchitect.
- Experience working in regulated environments with a strong understanding of operational resilience best practices.
- Track record in leading complex, large-scale cloud advisory engagements.
- Understanding of infrastructure, network, database, cloud operating models, risks, controls, security, DevOps, Agile, and testing for cloud platforms.
- Ability to shape long-term, complex cloud journeys encompassing a full range of cloud capabilities.
- Proven sales and profitability overachievement in a consulting setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to inspire teams and develop client relationships.
