You will work in a virtual and matrix environment to ensure project delivery is executed to the highest standards and risks and issues are effectively identified, managed, and mitigated. This will entail working on multiple concurrent and complex projects at any one time. Your main alignment will be within KPMG UK’s ITAM/SAM team, a part of our ‘Contract Performance & Insight’ department.

What will you be doing?

  • Seamlessly work across multiple complex projects from across a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Deliver excellent service.
  • Follow KPMG risk management processes.
  • Follow KPMG financial management processes.
  • Day to day interactions with client stakeholders.
  • Execute work plans to achieve contracted project scope.
  • Interact with a wider team to execute those same work plans.
  • Tailor working practices and approaches based upon your audience.
  • Analysis of software installation and consumption data.
  • Process and review of software license entitlement and contracts.
  • Preparation of reports and other client deliverables.
  • Reporting of commercial risk or cost saving opportunities.
  • Help clients enact and track mitigation actions.

What will you need to do it?

  • Demonstrable experience in software asset management, showing clear proficiency over software licensing (all aspects of contractual, technical, and commercial activities), alongside excellent understanding of software technology and related controls.
  • Domain specific licensing knowledge relating to IBM.
  • Clear understanding of the application of IBM software licensing terms and conditions and management of IBM software licensing through relevant tooling (like IBM License Metric Tool, IBM License Service, and industry recognised software asset management tools, like Flexera or ServiceNow).
  • Experience of managing a wide range of internal and external interactions and comfortable working and communicating in a client facing role.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills complemented by equally strong organisational and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines with comparable confidence, tenacity, and ability to deal with resistance and push back.
  • Experience of managing and coaching more junior team players.
