We are looking for a manager who possesses high quality consulting skills and a record of delivering outstanding results when leading complex consulting projects focused on delivering technology-enabled change activities on National Security engagements and to support KPMG’s growth in this market. Due to the nature of the work, it is essential for applicants to hold current 'National Security Vetting’ aligned to a National Security organisation.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting large-scale transformation in the National Security market to deliver a number of existing and upcoming opportunities.
  • You will be responsible for helping KPMG develop robust problem-solving methodologies, structuring and reviewing complex analysis, and delivering clear and effective deliverables.
  • You will be required to regularly interact with Partners, Directors and Senior Managers within KPMG to source insight and expertise and to provide progress updates.
  • You will also support interactions with members of the client’s leadership team. The ability to develop strong client relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of seniority, including senior leaders, will be crucial.
  • Contributing to the planning and delivery of engagements, including work plans, timelines, project management and resource allocations.

What will you need to do it?

  • Track record of working on complex consulting projects. This should include experience of business or operating model change; strategy development; strategic cost efficiency and management; investment decision support; or development of business cases and business plans.
  • Demonstrable experience developing Business Cases.
  • A good understanding of consulting problem-solving methodologies and how these can be adapted for client challenges in the Defence sector.
  • A good understanding of consulting skillsets including: qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, storyboarding, report and slide creation, impactful presenting, team management, influencing and relationship-building.

  • Consulting experience within a ‘Big 4’ consultancy, or mid-tier firm.

We are open to talk to Defence Consulting talent across the country but our core hubs for this role are: London Canary Wharf, Bristol, Manchester. This position will largely be based from “London/Bristol”. With 20 sites across the UK, we can potentially facilitate office work, working from home, flexible hours, and part-time options.
