Base Location: We would look at London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Leeds plus a network of 20 offices nationally.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing the delivery of client-facing work within specialist areas, ensuring new processes and tools are designed with a strong human/end user focus – this includes producing high-quality outputs with serious attention to detail.
  • Designing and Mobilising Major Projects/Programmes.
  • Looking after financial aspects of an engagement - ensuring we keep clients informed of costs and time incurred, in addition to raising invoices and recovering fees.
  • Responsibility to follow internal processes to ensure compliance.
  • Business development - identifying potential opportunities for new assignments and assisting with bids.

What will you need to do it?

  • Experience working within a Project Delivery function within major Infrastructure programmes or experience in a project-based role in a Consulting firm.
  • Very strong experience in industry, willing to move into the consultancy world; OR, experience in project-based roles in a consulting firm (either Big 4 or major engineering consultancies), after having spent some time in industry.
  • Candidates with significant experience - primarily built around the development and delivery of major Projects/Programmes. This could be as a consultant/advisor or working in Industry/Government.
  • In-depth experience of applying Project, Programme, Portfolio management (P3M) methodology – and a passion for the discipline.
  • A foundation of excellent academics and good career progression to date.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • An ability to build and maintain great relationships and a desire to network across our firm.
  • Confident communication and presentation skills.

Skills we’d love to see / amazing extras:

  • A good spread of experience using different software/applications (e.g. Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Oracle P6, Slack, Clarizen).
  • Relevant professional certification – e.g. APM PMQ/PPQ; MoP; MSP; PRINCE2.
  • Expertise or sectoral knowledge of infrastructure asset management.
  • Expertise in Project, Programme and Portfolio Controls.
  • Experience of digital transformation and technology in infrastructure programmes, including application of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Experience of capital planning or capital portfolio management.
  • Knowledge of process and value stream efficiency and optimisation.
  • Organisational readiness and effectiveness.
