Programme Advisory & Capital Excellence Assistant Manager – MPA Base Location: We would look at London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Leeds plus network of 20 offices nationally. Who are we? Operating from all over the UK we do work those matters, serving the Country with diligence and expertise. “PACE” (Programme Advisory and Capital Excellence) is part of KPMG’s Major Projects Advisory team – a multi-disciplinary team of cross-sector experts in complex project and programme delivery. You’re working with a huge variety of different teams and subject matter specialist across the infrastructure landscape. What will you be doing? Supporting and managing the delivery of client-facing work within specialist areas, ensuring new processes and tools are designed with a strong human/end user focus – this includes producing high-quality outputs with thorough attention to detail Helping engagement managers to look after financial aspects of an engagement Keeping up to date with specific (technical) developments affecting your work, contributing to thought leadership Understanding the broader suite of services offered by KPMG and sharing ideas to collaborate and design unique solutions for our clients Fostering an inclusive, diverse and flexible environment where everyone can thrive Business development – supporting with bids and opportunities Most importantly, being a role model for KPMG and living our values every day What will you need to do it? Experience working within a Project Delivery function within major Infrastructure programmes or experience in a project-based role in a Consulting firm. Candidates with between three and five years’ experience – primarily built around the development and delivery of major Projects/Programmes. This could be as a consultant/advisor or working in Industry/Government. Experience of applying Project, Programme, Portfolio management (P3M) methodology – and a passion for the discipline. Experience in any of our key sectors A foundation of excellent academics and good career progression to date Strong analytical and problem-solving skills An ability to build and maintain great relationships and a desire to network across our firm Confident communication and presentation skills Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras: A good spread of experience using different software/applications (e.g. Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Oracle P6, Slack, Clarizen) Relevant professional certification – e.g. APM PMQ/PPQ; MoP; MSP; PRINCE2 Supporting targeted business process improvement(s) in relation to capital investment Supporting the delivery of advisory services such as organisational design and governance optimisation Working in partnership with clients to shape strategic direction and helping them to go out and implement Performance and efficiency improvement Enhancing Project and Programme controls Assurance and monitoring Troubled Project/Programme reviews To discuss this or wider Deal Advisory roles with our recruitment team, all you need to do is apply, create a profile, upload your CV and begin to make your mark with KPMG.
