OverviewThis exciting role is within our London region Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team, based in our Canary Wharf office. Our clients include UK‐headquartered businesses and inbound groups across a range of sectors. We support clients with business and fiscal change, including jurisdiction entry, new business areas, reorganisations, tax‐authority enquiries, restructuring, refinancing, cash repatriation, interest deductibility and global fiscal change (e.g., BEPS Pillar 2). We work as a hybrid team, collaborating in the office or at client sites at least twice a week, with flexible remote arrangements.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Partners and/or Directors on complex projects to deliver technically excellent advice and service.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their businesses, build an external network and create opportunities to provide tax and other services.
Manage UK and cross‐border teams on advisory projects, liaise with specialists, overseas member firms and external advisers, critically analyse and challenge inputs to deliver successful projects.
Deliver compliance services and manage aspects of the team\’s operations and performance, including resourcing, coaching and development of junior team members.
Seek out and pursue opportunities with clients, and actively participate with Partners and Directors in business‐development activities.
Manage engagement quality and risk processes and client financials.
Act as a role model for KPMG\’s values.
Qualifications
Qualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent.
Ambitious, enthusiastic and strong UK corporation‐tax knowledge with awareness of other tax and accounting matters.
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills, curiosity and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice.
Excellent project‐management skills, able to work as part of a team and show initiative to drive projects forward.
Insightful and effectively applies knowledge to business and client problems.
Sound judgement, able to identify and evaluate risk issues and know when to involve others.
Ability to multi‐task and manage a range of clients, projects and relationships.
Strong motivation to develop and coach junior team members.
Dedication to continuously develop technical knowledge and skills.
