The KPMG Actuarial Consulting function is a cornerstone of our business. Operating from our major UK offices, we serve a wide range of general insurance companies, including within Lloyd’s and the London Market.
Responsibilities:
- Leading client engagement teams and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Providing high quality advisory service to clients.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal KPMG network.
- Winning new business through marketing and sales activities.
- Creating and contributing to high quality thought leadership.
- Contributing to the development of new products and services.
- Sharing knowledge and experience and contributing to team performance management.
- Marketing and raising the profile of KPMG.
- Willingness to undertake travel on occasion.

- Independent reserve reviews.
- Provision of actuarial expertise on finance and risk transformation projects.
- Assistance to companies undertaking mergers and acquisitions.
- Pricing support to clients.
- Helping companies with capital modelling strategy.
- Restructuring assistance.
- Provision of actuarial expertise to support audit colleagues.
As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of Actuarial work and contributing to the growth of the service line. You will establish yourself as a subject matter expert and build a strong internal and external network.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in an Actuarial function or non-life consultancy.
- Qualified actuary or sufficient standing in the actuarial community.
- Capability to manage concurrent engagements.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and resolve issues.
- Practical experience of risk management processes.
- Strong project and people management skills.
- Ability to develop productive internal and external relationships.
- Strong technical skills and ability to deal with clients.
- Knowledge of UK regulatory and reporting regimes for life insurers.
- Experience in reserving, pricing and/or capital modelling.
- Strong coaching skills to develop junior team members.
