Working on complex engagements across multiple sectors ranging from FMCG, Industrial Manufacturing, Defence, IGH etc., this team is responsible for the pre-sales/sales, business transformation and technical delivery of SAP solutions.

The SAP Sectors Consulting team are technology focused professionals who work together to deliver KPMG Powered Enterprise through a standardised delivery model, which drives professional delivery to clients. You will work in challenging, purposeful and dynamic SAP transformations with teams using their functional knowledge and experience in Warehouse Management, coupled with their expertise in S/4HANA and cloud applications (e.g., SAP EWM) to lead and deliver exciting client programmes across a range of industries, with a heavy focus on supporting pre-sales activities and developing improvements, focusing on SAP innovations and extensions to Powered Enterprise.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead end-to-end warehouse management solution design for SAP S/4HANA programmes, covering both WM (Stock Room Management) and EWM architectures.
  • Act as a functional design authority, ensuring consistency, controlled deviation from standard, and alignment to enterprise architecture across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Drive fit-to-standard workshops, challenging legacy warehouse processes and aligning stakeholders to SAP best practices.
  • Own the warehouse process architecture and functional taxonomy, including:
    • Inbound processing and receipt
    • Outbound processing and fulfilment
    • Internal warehouse movements and replenishment
    • Physical inventory and stock control
    • Advanced capabilities (yard management, cross-docking)
  • Design integrated warehouse processes, ensuring seamless interaction with:
    • Materials Management (MM)
    • Sales & Distribution (SD)
    • Production Planning (PP)
    • Quality Management (QM)
    • Transportation Management (TM) where applicable
  • Provide functional leadership on S/4HANA EWM capabilities, including embedded analytics, Fiori applications, and advanced warehouse functionality.
  • Oversee integration design with automation systems, 3PL providers, and non-SAP warehouse solutions.
  • Define and guide data migration strategies for warehouse master and transactional data.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, translating complex warehouse designs into clear operational outcomes.
  • Lead and support pre-sales and business development activities, bringing functional credibility to client engagements.
  • Build and mentor teams, developing warehouse management capability within the practice.

What will you need to do it?

  • Deep functional expertise in SAP EWM and/or WM (including Stock Room Management) with strong end-to-end warehouse process knowledge.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing integrated warehouse and logistics processes, including:
    • Inbound, outbound and internal warehouse operations
    • Handling Unit Management and storage strategies
    • Physical inventory and warehouse control processes
    • Advanced warehouse capabilities (yard management, cross-docking)
  • Strong understanding of integration points across Supply Chain and Finance, particularly MM, SD, PP, QM and TM.
  • Expertise in SAP Activate methodology, with a strong track record of leading fit-to-standard workshops in logistics environments.
  • Ability to define functional architecture and warehouse operating models, not just module configuration.
  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA EWM capabilities, deployment options and best practices.

Experience:

  • SAP ERP experience, with time specialising in Warehouse Management / EWM on S/4HANA.
  • Proven experience as a functional solution lead / SME across complex S/4HANA supply chain programmes.
  • Delivery of at least 1-2 full lifecycle SAP WM/EWM implementations (design to go-live).
  • Strong track record in:
    • Leading fit-to-standard warehouse design workshops with senior business stakeholders.
    • Translating operational warehouse requirements into scalable S/4HANA solutions.
    • Designing enterprise-scale warehouse operating models within SAP.
    • Experience across Advisory, Functional Solutioning and Pre-Sales support roles.
    • Demonstrated ability to balance solution quality with delivery pragmatism.
    • Experience leading multi-stream delivery teams (onshore/offshore).
    • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to engage and influence at CXO level.
    • Strong interpersonal, team building, organisational and leadership skills.

    • Strong understanding of warehouse automation and integration, including:
      • Material Flow Systems (MFS)
      • Integration with 3PL providers
    • Experience working with advanced EWM capabilities in complex warehouse environments.
    • Industry experience in Manufacturing, Retail or Logistics-intensive sectors.
    • Experience facilitating end-to-end warehouse design workshops and translating into functional designs.
    • Awareness of digital supply chain trends, including:
      • Warehouse automation
      • Real-time visibility and analytics
    • Strong analytical capability and ability to translate complex warehouse operations into structured SAP solutions.
    • Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced transformation environments.
    • Proven ability to support business development and senior client presentations.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex warehouse concepts.
    • Strong client relationship management, built on functional expertise and delivery credibility.
    • Detail-oriented approach to solution design and governance in logistics environments.
    • Self-motivated and capable of leading in dynamic transformation programmes.
    • Strong commitment to continuous learning in S/4HANA EWM and supply chain innovation.
    • Active focus on mentoring, capability development and knowledge sharing.
