Base Location: Canary Wharf, London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham OR Glasgow based (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office).

What will you be doing?

  • Represent KPMG while leading engagement teams in the delivery of large technology and tax transformation projects and excellent client-facing services.
  • Project manage the delivery of multiple, simultaneous tax technology projects.
  • Provide hands-on configuration, guidance, and assistance to support project teams in delivery efforts.
  • Help our clients develop global governance and process frameworks.
  • Manage junior team members in the delivery of internal and external projects.
  • Build strong relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Develop conversations with prospective clients and collaborate with colleagues on proposals, identify new conversations, and develop solutions.

What you will need to do it?

  • In depth current experience with indirect taxes (e.g. VAT, GST, US SUT), including complex supply chain transactions and understanding of the VAT implications with knowledge of the downstream compliance process.
  • Expert hands on knowledge of tax-related technologies (e.g. Vertex, OneSource, Avalara).
  • Extensive experience in tax technology implementation for Fortune 500 scale companies, including requirements gathering, design, build, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Experience with tax data, analytics, and reporting.
  • Experience with popular ERP technologies (e.g. Workday, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP or Oracle).
  • Demonstrable experience in implementing e-invoicing solutions.
  • Experience with data, analytics and workflow automation tools (e.g. Alteryx, Power BI).

Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:

  • Across GCT we would welcome applications from those qualified by experience, as well as ATT / CTA / ACA or equivalent qualifications.
  • Project Management qualifications along with specific transformation skills (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) are also welcome.
  • Further areas where you might have gained skills and experience include:
    • BEPs: assisting clients in transforming their operating models, processes, systems, and data in preparation for Pillar 2, and reviewing Pillar 2 tax compliance work to ensure accuracy and adherence to global minimum tax requirements.
    • Managed Services: provide compliance services to global clients across a range of tax, accounting, transfer pricing obligations under a managed service arrangement.
    • Technology: help clients leverage the right technology, tools and platforms to transform their tax function.
    • Tax Operating Model: collaborate with clients to build and operate a leading tax function, managing tax risk, opportunities, reputation and compliance.
    • Data Management: support client tax teams to maximise the use of data available in the organisation in order to effectively manage the Tax Function.

Our Locations: We are open to talk to talent across the country but preference will be given to candidates who are willing and able to do 2 days per week in one of our core Tech hubs for this role, which are: Canary Wharf, London; Birmingham; Manchester; Leeds; Glasgow.
